Curling Strategy Clinic/Discussion

There will be a clinic/discussion on strategy Saturday, December 22, from 9 a.m. to about Noon. The poster and signup sheet will be posted at the club. The clinic will be led by Duncan Jamieson, World Senior Curling Championships Silver Medalist.

Strategy Session Format:
  1. Introduction . Why talk about strategy? What do we want out of a strategy session?
  2. Overview of strategy . What's involved such as: ice conditions, team abilities/strengths, opposition,  confidence, aggressive vs. conservative.
  3. Basic strategy. Positioning of rocks, last rock vs. without, early middle and late in the game, 4.  Discussion and critique of scenarios and Q and A.
The strategy session is designed to help all curlers regardless of their experience or the position they play. Its purpose is to give us all a better understand the game and all curlers are encouraged to attend.
